them: how’s your mental health?
me: i’ve literally been posting about wanting to die for like a decade
my swarm of Spine-Tear-Out Drones is finally ready for deployment
*me leaving my house* you know what honey? You’re right. I need to be more confident. I’m leaving the spine armor at home today
It seems to me there’s so much more to the world than the average eye is allowed to see. I believe, if you look hard, there are more wonders in this universe than you could ever have dreamt of.

world building tip
if you're creating a setting where gods are real beings, you don't have to model their domains off of how polytheistic pantheons worked in the real world. consider how different concepts you want to tie to the gods interact metaphysically, and determine what the gods control based on that (for example, why wouldn't the God of Life also be the God of Death, or Fertility? they all fit into the same cycle of existence)
that said, if the deities you're designing don't have a lot of face to face interaction with mortals, perhaps the followers of these gods also have their own, incorrect idea of what each being has domain over that have strayed from reality over the generations. perhaps even longer lived races like classic elves are more correct than shorter lived ones when it comes to what prayers their gods are capable of answering
I didn’t even read past the headline at first I was just nodding and ready to square up
